The cabin type depends on the model choice and engine used. The cab exterior and interior equipment can then be configured according to customer requirements.
TATRA PHOENIX
The model uses a spacious and ergonomically friendly cab supplied by DAF Trucks. There is a broad offer of colour options and exterior design, a side step to check the cargo in the truck body is also available. The interior can significantly be adapted to the customer’s wishes and requirements – from comfortable air-cushioned seats with extra fixation up to a fridge or A/C. With a 4-door version, a total of 6-8 seats incl. driver is obtained as required. For the needs of work in the mining industry and agriculture, the vehicle must be fitted with additional cab and crew protection pursuant to the ROPS/FOPS rules. Based on the Euro 5 and Euro 6 emission legislation, each cab version differs from each other. The cabin is always tilting.
TATRA FORCE (T815-7)
The vehicles of this model range are primarily designed to perform specific tasks in the fire service or armed forces. For these reasons, the cab is simple but comfortable and adapted to the work of these special units with adjustable steering wheel, A/C and independent heater. The cab ceiling is reinforced to protect the crew against a puncture due to falling objects or rollover, which can also be used in the mining industry, where there is no need to install additional protection (compliant with the ROPS / FOPS rules). The cab allows the transport of up to 4 people, including the driver. The cab designed for armed forces is armoured with resistance pursuant to STANAG 4569 Level 2 and Level 3 and can be equipped with pressurized filter-ventilation and roof hatch with mountings for weapons systems. The low overall vehicle height allows the transport by C-130 Hercules aircraft. The cab is always tilting.
TATRA TERRA (T815-2)
A two-seat version or version with optional sleeping bed is mostly used. A 4-seater cab for a crew of six (incl. driver) is then designed for fire brigade units. A 4-door cab of this type is also used for the reconstruction of fire emergency vehicles under the designation PR-2. The cab is always tilting.
TATRA TACTIC
The cabs for this model range are supplied by TATRA TRUCKS are used solely for the model range designed for the armed forces – Czech Army or the Army of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The cabs are 2- to 3-seat, armourable, with special reinforcements and armoured floor. They can be fitted with a roof hatch with the weapon mounting systems. The cab is always tilting.
